To minimize any problems from stains, all stains should be cleaned as soon as they are noticed, making sure the recommended cleaning agents are used in the following order:

Normal Care and Cleaning
Remove ordinary dirt and smudges with a mild soap and water solution and a clean soft cloth or towel.  Dry with a soft lint-free towel.  For more difficult stains, continue to the special cleaning instructions below.  Do not use abrasive powder, steel wool, or industrial strength or solvent cleaners.  The use of upholstery "conditioners" or "protectants" is not recommended and should be avoided on all BoltaSoft® vinyl upholstery.

Special Cleaning Problems
Use one of the following recommended non-abrasive cleaners with a soft cloth or damp sponge.

Primary Recommended Cleaner

  • Formula 409 All-Purpose Spray Cleaner

  •     Secondary Recommended Cleaners
  • Lysol Clean and Fresh Multi-Surface Cleaner (Reckitt Benckiser)
  • Lestoll Heavy Duty Cleaner (Clorox)
  • Mr. Clean / Flash Cleaner and Shine (Proctor and Gamble)
  • Eco Touch All Purpose Premium Care

Rinse cleaned area with fresh water then dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.

BoltaSoft® vinyl upholstery can be cleaned and disinfected with a 10% diluted household bleach (sodium hypochlorite) solution (1:9 bleach to water ratio).  Following cleaning and disinfection with bleach, rinse cleaned area with fresh water, then dry with a clean lint-free cloth.

Also, note that repeated use of any disinfectants and cleaning agents will degrade coated fabrics upholstery to some extent.  For high traffic/wear applications that require repeated cleaning and disinfecting, it is recommended to use coated fabric products with PreFixx® Protective Finish.
